Nice tips.
I also suggest to use adswap.
It's a pretty good method to use in the case when you can't increase your list quickly.

Let's say you'll get 10 people in your downline. With the 10% commission, you'll be even. How many of these 10 people will have 10 referrals? And when they see they can't get referrals, they will quit, leaving you to have a loss. In my opinion it's a proof of lack of brain to promote other people business. Pay $10 PER YEAR for a domain name, make a website and promote YOUR OWN BUSINESS, what ever your business may be.

Hey Codrut,

I like the format of this interview. Short and to the point instead of an hour long audio interview.

I like the point Starak makes about how many links he puts in his emails to get a higher click through rate. I usually only have one or two and don't really bother with a P.S. I'll have to try adding more and adding a P.S. at the end.

Later,
Jeff Sargent

These are three great tips for list building.

Most people think list building is simply collecting leads and then blast emails to them every day pitching them on their product.

The truth of the matter though is that isn't the whole part of it. You must build trust, and relationships. There are a number of ways to do this, and then when you have that trust your list will become 10x easier to sell to, and they will love you.

you mention that in the future it will grow faster? why wait? you can boost your conversion [and list subscribers] by tweaking your landing page copy? before you get more traffic, focus on getting the maximum from your existent traffic and efforts.

Great interview. I'm also working out on building my list, so far I'm getting 2-5 subscribers a day, it's not that many yet, but in the future it will grow faster. I definitely learned a lot from this interview, and I hope to hear more about list building and how we can profit from our list.

I agree with the information mentioned here. We should build our own brand, we should be unique, and most importantly, we should get their trust. People loves to buy from who they trust. For example, there are a lot of products ranging from $7-$27 about "how to build your list", the only way to be outstanding among the sellers is to be unique. Remember, our subscribers is not only listed in our subscribers list, most likely they are also subscribed to other marketers as well.

Great article!, I actually have both autoresponder systems. I used Getresponse for the lead packages and I use aweber because I feel its a better AR all around.

Also I use feedburner connected to my blogs, aweber sends the blog post no hassles.. Getresponse is always telling me my feeds aren't validated..

Thanks For Sharing,
Larry

yes, I'd outsource if the money is right, but ONLY to someone who knows the topic personally. I wouldn't outsource to great writers even if they can write fast and at low cost, if they're not knowing at least the basics of your niche topic and I'm talking about more than just the usual lingo

I think you should outsource someone who's in the field and actually does exactly what you want them to write -- know what I'm saying? :)

If you're using the content to brand yourself and become the trusted authority, you can't let anybody write your content, can you?
