In a recent news article Google had presented a prototype image search technology that will be able to tell what is in the image.

For example when we now go out and look for an image using googles image search our results can greatly vary because what is shown is based on the image tags and text around the image.

Google’s new technology would actually be able to know what the image actually is. For example we as humans can just look a a picture that contains a Butterfly and know that it’s a butterfly however when you do a search for a butterfly now on googles image search you can get a whole bunch of images that don’t have anything to do with butterflies.

Is Google Dropping their Page Rank System?

Today I read an article that suggested that Google might be doing away with their page rank system.

It has been quite a while since Google has done an update to the page rankings. Many of us have been working hard on backlinks to our sites to increase page rank and it would nice to find out what’s going on.

Also questions of a new search algorithm invented by Australian student, Ori Allon, and grabbed up by Google.
