Can Google Really Tell What the Image Is?

In a recent news article Google had presented a prototype image search technology that will be able to tell what is in the image.

For example when we now go out and look for an image using googles image search our results can greatly vary because what is shown is based on the image tags and text around the image.

Google’s new technology would actually be able to know what the image actually is. For example we as humans can just look a a picture that contains a Butterfly and know that it’s a butterfly however when you do a search for a butterfly now on googles image search you can get a whole bunch of images that don’t have anything to do with butterflies.

Google Changes it’s Display URL Policy for Adwords

Effective April 1^st Google is changing it’s Display vs Destination URL Policy. Google has reported that your display URL must match your landing page.

After reading the changes I found that you can still use tracking software as long as the landing page URL matches the Display URL.

For example:

This is acceptable

Display URL: www.ListAdvice.com
Destination URL: www.mytracker.com?cmd=listadvice
Landing Page: www.ListAdvice.com

This is unacceptable

Display URL: www.ListAdvice.com
Destination URL: www.mytracker.com?cmd=listadvice
Landing Page: www.mytracker.com

Google says that they are not going to actively check existing campaigns but all new ones will be verified.

Nitty Gritty Marketing Review

I just got back from the Idea to Income Workshop in Daytona Beach last week. I was a speaker at the event and in very good company. Among the speakers were Lisa-Diane, Bonnie Hazlett, Michael Cheaney, Curtis Andrews and Jermaine Griggs.

All the speakers were excellent but I was very surprised by Jermaine because first he was only 24 years old but second he was already a Multi-Millionaire. Now these days that might not seem like a big thing because Internet Marketing Millionaires seem to be born every day.

Is Google Dropping their Page Rank System?

Today I read an article that suggested that Google might be doing away with their page rank system.

It has been quite a while since Google has done an update to the page rankings. Many of us have been working hard on backlinks to our sites to increase page rank and it would nice to find out what’s going on.

Also questions of a new search algorithm invented by Australian student, Ori Allon, and grabbed up by Google.
